Suzanne Garner brings extensive experience in international law and governance as a consulting attorney to Truss Faber, drawing on more than 15 years of federal and private practice. Suzanne enhances the firm’s services with her deep expertise in government, international trade policy and disputes. She advises on domestic and international regulation, compliance and dispute resolution, leveraging her work in cross-border commercial policy and arbitrations involving procurement processes, municipal contracts and measures affecting import and export. Suzanne prides herself in delivering efficient, effective, common-sense solutions. Most importantly, she is driven by her passion to create value that helps advance her clients’ businesses. Her approach focuses on using each client’s business objectives to guide the advice, work and results she delivers.
Before launching a business as a solo practitioner and consultant, Suzanne practiced in Washington, D.C., in the global compliance group of a leading international law firm, followed by serving as an associate general counsel for the United States Trade Representative for seven and a half years, spanning two presidential administrations. Suzanne has taught at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, advised for the UN Conference for Trade and Development and participated as a presenter at numerous academic conferences. She earned her J.D. from Boston College Law School in 2006 and is barred to practice in Washington State, California and Washington, D.C.
